This was just the headline on Al-Jazeera few minutes ago.
According to the them, (Al-Jazeera) about 143 people were killed by boko-haram insurgents dressed up in Military Fatigue.
Several checkpoints were set-up by the fake military men, (Boko haram insurgents) where they forced the victims out of their various cars and murdered them.
This unfortunate incident occurred on the Maiduguri/damaturu Highway despite the state of emergency that was declared on the state.
On channels Tv. (10pm News) the governor of Bornu was on t.v. and he promised a compensation of 250,000 Naira to the family of the victims and he also promised to bring the culprits to book (as usual).
What can i say, this is sooooo sad.
What is 250K?
we dont want compensation and condolence visits.... what we want is proactive measures to curb this insecurity.
REST IN PEACE TO THE VICTIMS
